The scope and magnitude of the crisis in New Orleans has not yet begun to be known - and now we are looking at a second disaster.

I hope everyone that can will reach out in an effort to make a difference for the people and animals suffering in Louisiana.
- Dawn Taylor Bechtold, Founder and President, USAPE

New Orleans is under water again

The industrial canals are giving way, flooding areas of New Orleans for a second time within a four week span.

In spite of the best efforts of the Army Corps of Engineers, they are disappointed to see the flood waters returning to New Orleans.

Countless homes have been flooded and the news has been under reported by the media - leading people to believe their homes were intact when, in fact, they weren't.

Updates will soon be forthcoming. Stay tuned for details.

  • USAPE officials further want to see the release of Spalding County Animal Shelter's animals pending a pitbull fighting and cruelty case and a court date set for the convicted felon being held for his involvement. He still walks free after more than three years of delays and postponements. Please assist us in writing letters requesting the release of these animals.
